Perhaps when we fail to continue searching to know God more and more, we begin to fail to worship God. Like it has always been said, we are on a journey, and we don't truely reach the destination. Jesus during his ministry never revealed a complete picture of God. His teaching was meant for those who hungered for truth, not those seeking to fulfill it. I can honestly say that feel so far from understanding sometimes, but I do know that only through the Spirit can I even begin to capture a glimpse of God.
